Spain produces the most popular Twitch Streamers in the world, new research has revealed.
The study by vpnoverview.com analysed data on Twitch’s top 50 most followed streamers including their average viewers and current subscribers, and found that Spain has the most popular streamers.
Spain has four entries in the top 50 Twitch streamers, and they have a combined follower count of over 37 million, averaging out to about nine million followers each – the highest average total in the list.
Spanish channels are also the most-watched, with the country’s top four most popular channels receiving an average of 61,840 views per streamer. The most popular Spanish channel is “auronplay” which mainly streams the game Minecraft.
Canada is second on the list, and also has four people in the top 50 list, who average the second most followers per streamer, with 7,682,480. Canada also has the third-highest current subscribers with 23,800 per channel. The country’s top streamer is “shroud” who is well known for being a former professional player of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but has recently been streaming the new game, New World.
America produces the world’s third most popular streamers, with nearly half of the top 50 accounts based in the US. The country’s 24 streamers have the largest combined number of followers with more than 129,000,000, resulting in the third-highest average per streamer of 5,384,326. The most popular streamer in USA and the whole of Twitch is “Ninja”, who has recently been streaming a variety of categories including Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Just Chatting.

Fourth place in the rankings goes to Mexico, with 10,141,633 people following Mexican streamers, averaging to 5,070,817 per individual. The country comes in at second for the number of followers gained over the last 30 days per channel with 188,734.
The UK ranks fifth on the list, thanks to more than 4.3 million followers per streamer. Eight British streamers appeared on the top 50 channels list, which is the second-highest total out of all the countries that made the list, behind the USA.

It’s fascinating to analyse the data and see that despite American streamers making up nearly half of the top 50, it’s Spanish Twitch stars who have the highest average follower count.”
