Mental Wellbeing has and will continue to be available to the general public from all walks of life to support their mental wellbeing over the coming weeks.

The clinically effective app prevents and screens for mental health conditions and helps you manage your wellbeing. Thrive has always been free for users through existing partner organisations including employers, NHS trusts, insurers, charities and other organisations. For individuals who don’t have access though and need support, the app has now been made available for free for individuals to use today, and every day following that regardless of your occupation or situation.

The app can be downloaded via the NHS apps library, a small collection of free apps accredited and recommended by the NHS, as well as through the App Store, Google Play and the Thrive website. New users require an access code to start using the app, which can be requested through the Thrive website.

In light of the recent outbreak and government response Dr Andres Fonseca, CEO and Co-Founder of Thrive, said: “We are committed to supporting as many people as we can and given the current epidemic we want to remind everyone, from all walks of life, that confidential and effective support is there. Regardless of your occupation you have access to our service to improve your resilience and mental wellbeing.

“We hope our NHS frontline staff, our teachers, police officers, firefighters, carers and anyone struggling to cope in these uncertain times will find our app useful. Everyone deserves the right to effective mental health support for a healthy mind.”

He added: “During a time like this it’s okay to feel stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. We are very much behind the NHS staff on the front lines, but there are many heroes that will emerge during this trying time, such as teachers, carers, our police officers and our supermarket workers among many others. We are dedicated to your mental wellbeing before, during and after an unsettling event like this.”

Thrive’s NHS-approved digital mental health solution uses clinically effective tools to track your mood and teaches you methods to take control of stress, anxiety and mental health related conditions. Thrive works well as a day-to-day lifestyle app to help you live a happier, more stress-free life, whilst also having the capability to support and intervene if it detects risks of certain conditions.

Supporting over 1.7 million users, current Thrive clients include Santander, healthcare provider AXA and Aviva insurance. Thrive has recently introduced a webinar series covering topics such as stress, anxiety, coping with remote working, dealing with life-changes and isolation to help thousands of employees during these unsettling times.
