T-Mobile announced that its fibre home internet service will go live on Thursday 5 June for more than 500 000 households across the United States. According to the press release, the company wants to give homes a faster line for uploads and downloads of up to 2 Gbps.
The operator already has nearly 7 million users on its fixed-wireless 5G Home Internet and a waiting list with another million names. Fibre fills a gap for families who need steadier upload capacity for online games, live streams and creative work.
T-Mobile built a pilot fibre service in 2021 and now claims the “hard” start will pair the Un-carrier ethos with gigabit speeds. A 5 year price promise sits at the heart of the pitch, with no equipment rent, installation fees or yearly contracts.
How Do The New Plans Compare?
There are 3 standard tiers that come on 5 June. The first, Fibre 500, brings up to 500 Mbps for $60 when paid through autopay and a T-Mobile voice line, or $75 with autopay alone.
Next comes Fibre 1 Gig at $75 with a voice line or $90 with autopay. It ships with a mesh kit so rooms at the far end of a home keep the same speed as the living room.
Top spot goes to Fibre 2 Gig. At $90 with a voice line or $105 through autopay, it targets gamers, creators and households filled with smart gadgets.
A special Founders Club plan drops the 2 Gig price to $70 in selected postcodes and holds that fee for 10 years.

Where Will The Service Reach After This?
T-Mobile says the fibre network should cover at least 12 million to 15 million homes by 2030. That goal depends on the completed deal for Lumos and the pending purchase of Metronet, both known for regional fibre builds.
Instead of laying cable in every street, T-Mobile will ride on infrastructure that Lumos and Metronet already run. Management says this shortens construction time and lets the company enter towns that often wait longest for gigabit lines.
AT&T, Verizon and Frontier have poured billions into gigabit projects. In adding fibre to its wireless base, T-Mobile can meet rivals on equal ground and lure customers with bundled mobile and home deals.
The company also added that areas with strong demand for its 5G Home Internet will move to the front of the fibre build queue, giving those families a quicker route to faster uploads.
When And How Can Households Sign Up?
Orders open nationwide on 5 June through the fibre.t-mobile.com portal or any branded shop. Autopay done through a debit card or bank account cuts $5 from the monthly bill.
Every tier supplies unlimited data and a Wi-Fi 6 router or mesh kit at no extra charge. The press release looked at T-Mobile Tuesdays perks such as sports streaming passes, petrol deals and cinema vouchers, handed out each week through the T-Life app.
Customers who move home can take the service along or cancel without exit fees, which should appeal to renters. T-Mobile adds that cross discounts for mobile lines may follow, creating a single provider for phone and broadband under the magenta banner.
