About OmniIndex

OmniIndex is on a mission to put data owners back in control. We provide a cloud-based AI Data Platform that uniquely unlocks intelligence from fully encrypted data with no third-party access.

We built our PGBC Database as a Service because of a fundamental problem with legacy cloud solutions: Users lose the control they have over their data with on-premises solutions. We tackle this head-on with a multi-patented combination of immutable storage, zero-trust access controls, and powerful “never decrypt” encryption that can only be decrypted by authorised users. Not us.

PGBC can be split into two parts: Storage & Intelligence. The storage is an immutable and decentralised store where data remains encrypted at all times. This means it cannot be maliciously or accidentally tampered with, and no attacker can overwrite it with their own encryption keys to hold it to ransom. The intelligence, meanwhile, is the platform’s own native Small Language Model AI that uniquely provides real-time answers on fully encrypted data. This can be done via the chatbot, or through SQL queries. The AI provides answers only from the user’s own data and does not try to come up with answers not in the data; returning an error message or suggested alternative query instead of a hallucination.

Our uncompromising ‘never decrypt’ approach is critical because of the highly regulated markets we serve. For example, in Nigeria, Future-X uses our platform to ensure the integrity of critical stored student records, while health and lifestyle startup Uniq Health implements our service to provide personalised intelligence from fully encrypted data without risking their customer’s private information.

However, we know that enterprise-grade security is not just for highly regulated industries, but for all customer content. That is why we have adapted our solution to provide the same industry-leading encryption and security standards to all businesses, regardless of size. For instance Curiosity Cabins, an independent wool and craft shop in Scotland, uses our platform as an Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) service, giving them a secure way to manage sales data and gain live stock intelligence directly within their till or on a web browser.

This success inspired us to adapt our platform, offering a free inventory service for food banks. By providing these vital community organisations with a secure and private service to manage their stock via a simple browser solution, we are helping them operate more efficiently while ensuring their data remains completely secure.

We believe our blend of immutable storage, zero-trust security, and ‘never decrypt’ data intelligence is not just a feature set, but the future of SaaS. This is because as data breaches and ransomware attacks rise, we provide a definitive promise: your data in the cloud remains yours and yours alone.
