BrightHR is on a mission: to transform people management for small businesses by providing innovative HR and health & safety software, giving employers all the tools and support they need to manage and grow their business.

BrightHR was launched 2015 with just 30 employees. Today, their workforce has grown to 173 staff, who have proudly helped the business become the UK’s biggest digital HR software platform, with 600,000+ users across the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

In 2020, customers’ needs changed overnight due to COVID-19—and BrightHR had to respond fast. The business needed to help employers navigate through new government guidelines and workplace regulations as the situation evolved.

It took enormous team effort during an extremely challenging time, but BrightHR created and launched a full suite of brand-new software, to support their customers through the coronavirus pandemic. BrightHR invested £1million in their back to work navigator tool and a national TV and audio communication campaign to raise awareness of it to prospective and existing clients.

By offering employers such innovative products BrightHR been able to retain clients and attract new business. In the financial year 19/20, BrightHR generated £8.7m in revenue, which is a 50% increase in revenue YoY. The business also took on almost 10,000 new UK companies in 2020, and global businesses jumped up from 35,086 to 54,336.

BrightHR state: “We’re extremely proud to be able to provide such beneficial software to our customers at a time of desperate need. And we’re not slowing down, either.”

“Over the next 12 months we plan to grow our presence internationally and continue to listen to customer feedback to improve and develop market-leading HR and health & safety software.”
