About HqO

Founded in 2018, HqO is the leader in workplace experience technology, revolutionising the connection between people and workplaces, right from the palm of their hands.

Comprising an award-winning app, analytics suite, hybrid work tools, and a flex space management system, the HqO workplace experience platform empowers its users to create personalised experiences that engage and delight customers at their buildings. HqO currently manages more than 200 million square feet of commercial real estate across 450+ buildings and 25 countries.

It goes without saying, the workplace has changed beyond recognition in recent times – particularly post-COVID – presenting new challenges (as well as opportunities) for owners, operators and users of workspace. Providing innovative solutions that perfectly cater to a changing working world is at the heart of HqO’s mission. Through organic growth across our team, technology and capabilities, as well as recent acquisitions of Office App and global workplace experience measurement leader, Leesman, we have established the most comprehensive, innovative, and far-reaching offer for workplace experience technology worldwide.

HqO’s acquisition of Office App last year, not only created one of the biggest real estate technology companies in the world, valued at more than $500m (£300m), but allowed us to keep expanding our offer. The deal extended our reach across Europe and crucially enabled us to offer solutions for corporations (not just owners of real estate) for the first time – opening up a new market in workplace experience technology. The success of the merger was also validated by our second acquisition in under a year with Leesman.

Leesman’s extensive workplace experience data will augment HqO’s existing, industry-leading workplace experience offerings, providing customers access to both the world’s largest workplace experience dataset and The HqO Workplace Experience Platform, the standout leader utilised by some of the top workplaces in the world. Customers will have access to survey data – offering deep insights and specificity into what employees like, dislike, or want to see more of – which HqO’s technology and services will help implement in a truly complementary partnership. Leesman will continue to operate as an independent entity, offering customers objective surveys and benchmarking services.

Plans for the future include furthering HqO’s expansion globally by continuing growth in existing markets as well as entering new ones. HqO hopes to have thousands of sites globally by the end of 2023. As well as continuing to increase the number of active users, as a business, we want to ensure we retain current customers by ensuring they are engaged and happy with the service they are receiving.

Lastly, in less than 4 years, HqO has raised over $110m in venture capital funding from some of the top VCs and commercial real estate firms in the world. As the leader in workplace experience, HqO tripled revenue last year (2021) and has no plans of slowing down.
