About Testlio
Testlio started in 2012 with Kristel Kruustük, a frustrated software tester passionate about quality assurance and making the world a better place. Along with her co-founder and now husband, Marko Kruustük, they entered the AngelHack hackathon in London with a business idea that would improve the way software testing was done. They won AngelHack, moved to Austin for the Techstars accelerator, and the rest is history.
Today, Testlio combines human insight with its fully managed AI-powered crowdsourced testing platform to help product and engineering teams ensure every release works for every user across markets, devices, languages, and payment methods. They help brands deliver digital experiences that feel reliable, inclusive, intuitive, and worthy of customer trust.
However, getting to where they are today hasn’t come without some challenges. One of the most significant challenges Testlio has faced within the past few years has been staying ahead of the speed at which AI is reshaping software development.
As AI-generated code and automated workflows have enabled engineering teams to build and release products faster, it has also introduced new and less predictable output. Traditional quality assurance methods were not designed to adequately evaluate issues such as hallucinations, flawed reasoning, bias, model drift or autonomous agent behavior. Testlio responded by rethinking what quality assurance needs to look like in an AI era and evolving both its technology and services to meet our new reality.
In 2025, the company expanded its AI-powered automation capabilities and launched the LeoCore and LeoMatch to make testing faster, more intelligent and precise but without removing people from the process. They then introduced end-to-end AI testing to help companies validate AI-powered products for accuracy, safety, security and reliability. In 2026, Testlio expanded LeoCore’s AI layer with LeoInsights, turning fragmented testing data into actionable intelligence, launched dedicated AI Agent Testing for increasingly autonomous systems and has an interactive AI copilot launching soon. Together, these advancements have enabled Testlio to combine AI’s speed and scale with localized, real-world human judgment, transforming a period of rapid change into an opportunity to redefine modern software quality.
