For gyms and independent studios, SPORTL creates a new revenue stream by filling otherwise unused class capacity. It connects them with consumers looking for spontaneous, on-demand fitness without the friction of traditional booking systems.
Why Do You Think the Sector Needed An Innovation Like This?
The fitness industry is evolving, and consumer expectations are evolving with it. While memberships remain a core part of the industry and work brilliantly for many people, they don’t always fit the modern, flexible lifestyles that a lot of people lead today. At the same time, studios are continually looking for new ways to maximise class attendance and make the most of their capacity.

2025 has been a year of building strong foundations and significant momentum. Over the past six months, SPORTL has secured a substantial network of partner gyms, refined its business model, raised investment, grown brand awareness, and prepared for a full launch in early 2026.
Both founders, Matt and Ryan, took the leap this year – leaving their full-time jobs to build a dedicated team with a shared mission: to make SPORTL the go-to platform for experiencing fitness at a time that truly suits consumers.
What Does SPORTL Have In Store for 2026?
2026 is full launch mode. With our rollout across London in the new year, we’ll focus on continually refining the platform to deliver the best experience for both gyms and consumers.
We’re launching an ambassador programme, and we have exciting partnerships lined up with restaurants, run clubs and other lifestyle brands – extending the SPORTL experience beyond the gym and making fitness easier to enjoy on your own time.
