Forces Compare, the very first military insurance comparison site in the UK has just launched this July. Seeing a gap in the market, as there were no other military comparison sites available to compare insurance products, ex-para Alfie Usher decided to launch Forces Compare, which is run by ex-serving members of the Armed Forces and also works with other veteran-owned companies via the ‘veteran-owned’ network.
The site is designed so that “regardless of being the CGS or a soldier joining AFC you’d have a platform you could utilise to match your insurance needs” says Usher.
The website, Forces Compare, provides users the opportunity to compare hundreds of insurance policies specifically tailored to those in the forces needs: whether it be personal accident, contents, military kit, motor and travel insurance, Forces Compare has it covered, and these policies can be browsed in just a matter of minutes.
Military insurance at competitive rates is not the only thing Forces Compare specialises in either, helping to provide serving soldiers and veterans with legal claims such as MOD housing claims, MOD legal services and military tax refunds. The startup also works with motor finance providers and military mortgage brokers, and will soon be offering the option of comparing military savings accounts and ISAs.
