About Megan & Stakeholderz
Established in October 2017, Stakeholderz is an equity funding platform that brings together passionate entrepreneurs, angel investors, and those with the right acumen to help start-ups at a critical time in their business.
These three elements ensure that we’re not just another equity funding platform. With us, it’s personal, personal service, tailored engagement, commitment to achieving funding goals for start-ups, and supporting investors in every step of their journey.
In the wake of the pandemic, our in-person networking and pitching events had come to a halt, making it one of our biggest challenges to date. But we continued to keep our promises to our angel investors. We quickly started hosting online pitching events, thought leadership webinars, and angel investing master classes, all of which were a huge success while building strong relationships with our founders and investors. Remote management teams can also be challenging to engage and motivate, however, thanks to technology, workshops, and the lifting of Covid restrictions, we are making forward progress.
For this year, we’ll continue to focus on a few key sectors to ensure the investments we’re considering are more aligned with our investment preferences.
Behind every successful business is an outstanding team and Megan Snijman is undoubtedly one of our greatest assets. Megan has an innate ability to understand marketing and brands, she won the Marketer of the Year and various Global Best Practice Awards at companies such as GlaxoSmithKline and Unilever. In her career, she has turned around a brand in decline to a double-digit net sales growth within one year.
Megan joined Stakeholderz in 2020 as Venture Relations Manager, where she met with tech company founders weekly and assisted them in improving messaging, perfecting pitches, and raising funding. She has interviewed some of UK’s top tech leaders via our online webinar programmes, built the Stakeholderz’s pipeline of companies to over 400 in just 1 year thereby over achieving on her targets in deal pipeline and deal flow. As a result of her outstanding performance and dedication, she was appointed as VP of Operations in October 2021. Now, along with meeting with tech companies’ founders, she manages Stakeholderz’s overall operations, and also lends a supporting hand to the team whenever needed.
