“Our website predictions for 2025 are that AI will continue to increase in popularity however, the need for the human behind the code will increase due to bug fixes and understanding the level of code. Skilled developers will be in higher demand in 2025, while AI can be a great tool, it should be used for inspiration not the end goal.
The need for open-source code will continue to increase, while end users are looking for more control over their own data.
WordPress continues to create a custom solution with minimal code and a headless solution. The block theme is increasing in customisation options.

SaaS commoditisation will explode in 2025, driven by the rise of AI coding co-pilots like v0, Claude, and Cursor. These tools will enable the rapid development of “off-brand” versions of enterprise-grade products (think Salesforce) at a fraction of the cost and time.
There are two outcomes I can see coming to fruition.
First, large companies will increasingly opt to cut costs by building tailored, in-house alternatives to the SaaS products they previously outsourced.
Second, we’ll see the rise of lean, agile SaaS roll-ups run by small, highly organised teams of software engineer mercenaries. They’ll ship efficient, no-frills alternatives to mainstream SaaS at a rate of knots. Like ALDI undercuts retail giants, these teams will deliver competitive solutions that meet core needs without enterprise bloat, putting massive pressure on the large SaaS players.

“Next year, analytics, data, and AI will be used to create bespoke user experiences more than ever. Today, most users encounter the same digital experience with some minor personalisation, such as differing offers. But, in 2025, we’ll see the emergence of digital experiences that intelligently adapt to user preferences and behaviours.
These personalised experiences may take the form of different page layouts, navigation options, and content suggestions based on how a user interacts with a site. Imagine that you visit an outdoor adventure retail e-commerce website. On the first page, a range of options is available. If you select men’s hiking boots, the next page may change the entire website to remove all women’s products, and only show men’s products that are typically purchased with hiking boots. After a purchase, if you return to the website, the entire site may be optimised for a male hiking persona.
At the same time, someone else may see a totally different website if, for example, they are a woman interested in camping. Each page may be auto-generated by AI, adapting to every click. And this can upend the content management system industry that has been built to produce highly structured websites and apps. AI could redefine the concept of personalisation as we know it, and open the door to a new standard of quality for user experiences. And it will all be made possible through data analytics.”

“Agentic agent customers will pose serious challenges in sectors like retail and e-commerce next year. I strongly suspect the scarcity model – notably product drops – will finally become unworkable in 2025 in light of the rise of bots.
The experience is already bad today, with the barrier dropped to who can produce such bots, there won’t be any primary market buyer anymore, killing the entire dopamine cycle of scarcity-based e-commerce. Scalpers were bad enough, but when everyone starts using digital agents to find the best deal it will be goodbye sneaker drops.”
