The new EE Studio flagship store has been designed to empower customers by offering the best connectivity and technology solutions for their hyperconnected lives. Each shopper’s experience is tailored to the individual, with digital and physical interactions crafted to prioritise accessibility, demystify and simplify tech, and demonstrate how cutting-edge technology and connectivity can enhance their everyday life.
Designed in collaboration with Your Studio and Solutions, the Digital Spa experience encourages customers to forge a healthy and balanced relationship with tech. The experience features guided meditations and an immersive sensory room with meditative naturescape content, offering a welcome break from the sensory stimulation of Westfield White City.
This is because bright lighting, noise and visual stimuli can lead to retail exhaustion. To connect with audiences and forge lasting connections, brands must curate their customer experiences and provide consumers with comfortable, balanced environments.
For the EE Digital Spa, M-Cube’s goal was to facilitate a space for shoppers to slow their pace, providing a moment of calm reflection and digitally enabled recharge. This meant that customers left with a positive, warm association with the brand.
M-Cube was involved in the concept, design and deployment of the Digital Spa. The company developed a versatile digital environment through the strategic use of easily customisable LED screens, tailored specifically to enhance the studio’s ambiance.
Additionally, M-Cube integrated state-of-the-art sound technology, which complemented the visual elements to create a cohesive, immersive user experience. By managing all technical aspects, from the digital signage to the precise sound dynamics, we ensured that the project not only transcended traditional spa experiences but also distinguished it markedly from previous EE initiatives and other retail environments.
The results
The EE Digital Spa’s monthly footfall is overachieving by 220%. Compared to the previous Westfield store, monthly footfall for the same period was 8,500 while now it’s attracting 26,500.
NPS is outperforming expectations at an all-time high of 91% vs the previous Westfield
store at 73%, (target is 82%). The NPS of the store is also ranked #1 versus other nearby
competitors, and #1 in the company.
The store has also generated strong sales in EE’s growth verticals of gaming (up +750% compared to the previous EE store in Westfield) and cyber security (sales up +358%), as EE continues to diversify its offering.
