Risk Ledger was founded in 2018 with the mission to transform how organizations manage supply chain security. Our platform addresses the growing challenge of third-party risk management by empowering companies to secure their entire supply chain through collaboration and transparency. Today, we serve a diverse range of industries, helping them strengthen their cybersecurity defences while reducing the complexities of traditional approaches.
Building a solution for such a complex and evolving problem required overcoming significant hurdles. Early on, we faced the challenge of educating the market about the critical need for supply chain security. Many organisations viewed third-party risk management as a compliance exercise rather than a foundational component of their security strategy. Through thought leadership, community-building initiatives, and innovative technology, we shifted this perception and demonstrated the tangible value of a collaborative security model.
Another challenge was scalability. Supply chain ecosystems are vast and interconnected, with each supplier presenting unique risks. To address this, we developed a network-based approach that allows organizations to assess, monitor, and improve supplier security at scale. Finally, the rapid evolution of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, DORA, and others demanded a solution that could adapt quickly. Risk Ledger’s modular platform approach allows clients to tailor their security programs to meet these requirements without sacrificing efficiency.
Risk Ledger has redefined supply chain security by shifting the industry from a siloed approach to one of collective defence. Our “Defend-as-One” approach has inspired organisations to view supply chain security as a shared responsibility, where accountability and information flow freely across networks.
Risk Ledger has recently announced a new partnership with the Police Digital Service (PDS), enhancing third-party risk management for police forces across the UK. Using our “Defend-as-One” approach, PDS can now identify, measure and mitigate shared supply chain vulnerabilities more effectively, improving operational resilience and speeding up responses to emerging threats. Our collaboration is setting a critical benchmark for leveraging shared insights in tackling complex, systemic risks within critical public services.
Beyond technology, we’ve driven change through industry collaboration. We actively participate in panels and partner with industry bodies. Our work has been recognized through various accolades, including being shortlisted for the 2024 Tech Trailblazers Awards in the Security category.
