About Log my Care

 

Sam Hussain and Adam Hurst founded Log my Care in 2017 to alleviate the enormous strain on the UK’s social care workforce and improve care quality. They recognised that while technology could transform care delivery, many providers – especially the smallest – were priced out by expensive legacy systems. Determined to change this, they launched a care management platform designed to make technology accessible to everybody in social care. Their free-forever starter plan gives small care providers everything they need to go paperless.

The platform enables carers to record care delivery, access medical records, and receive prompts via a mobile app, helping care managers streamline operations and improve care quality. On average, it saves carers up to an hour per shift and allows care managers to create personalised care plans three times faster. The data collected gives care providers the insights they need to deliver proactive and preventative care, driving better outcomes for the people they support. For too long, the care industry has been stuck in reactive mode, with limited resources and inefficient processes – Log my Care changes that, enabling providers to get one step ahead.

Unlike legacy systems, Log my Care prioritises affordability and accessibility, ensuring it is easy to use – even for the least tech-savvy teams. Jonny Anders-Cannon, Director of Development at Epilepsy Society, explains: “I gave a team member the login and password and said, ‘Come back in two hours.’ When she returned, she said, ‘Love it.’ That was the test! It’s like using an iPhone. How many training courses have you been on to learn how to use your phone? None, because it’s designed to be intuitive – and Log my Care is exactly the same.”

Today, Log my Care is trusted by over 1,300 care providers supporting 20,000 people every day. Backed by over £7 million in funding, the team of 45 expanded their offering in October this year with a connected rota management system. Using data-driven insights, the system matches carers with individuals based on familiarity, needs, and preferences – deepening relationships and setting a new standard for person-centred care.
