About 51toCarbonZero
Founded in 2021, 51toCarbonZero (51-0) is the leading climate technology platform helping organisations move from carbon ambition into action. The company was established to address a growing challenge in the corporate sustainability landscape – the complex, fragmented, and time-consuming process of carbon reporting and reduction.
Its mission is simple but urgent: to make the path to net zero simple and achievable for every business. The name “51toCarbonZero” reflects this global ambition – to help reduce the world’s annual greenhouse gas emissions from 51 billion tonnes to zero. It symbolises the company’s belief that climate transformation will only be achieved when measurement, management, and reduction become part of everyday business operations.
51-0’s platform simplifies carbon transformation by consolidating an enterprise’s entire footprint onto one dashboard, automating data collection, and turning complex emissions data into actionable insights. Organisations can measure, manage, and mitigate emissions across operations, suppliers, and media investments, tracking progress against leading frameworks such as SBTi, CSRD, and SECR. The platform is supported by ISO-trained climate experts, ensuring that every data point and strategy is grounded in scientific rigour.
From the outset, 51-0 has focused on industries that shape public opinion, feelings and behaviours, particularly media, marketing ,advertising, technology, sports and the culture sector, where sustainability decisions can influence entire value chains. The company has partnered with major agencies and technology firms including Havas, Horizon Media, Nielsen, Ogury, and DEPT, helping them improve scope 3 visibility, strengthen reporting accuracy, and embed sustainability into procurement and campaign delivery.
Building on its foundation, 51-0 has expanded into food and beverage, a sector critical to the global net-zero transition. It recently partnered with HowGood, the world’s largest food product sustainability database, and Vestey Holdings, a privately owned group of international businesses focused mainly on food products and services. 51-0 has enabled these companies and others in the sector to analyse emissions down to ingredient level – turning previously inaccessible supply chain data into actionable climate intelligence.
While the climate tech market has seen volatility, 51-0 has continued to grow. Over the past two years, it has more than quadrupled its revenue, and expanded its team by 100% across both the tech and the consulting functions – reinforcing its position as one of the few climate technology businesses demonstrating both scale and momentum.
It also completed a £3m round in Q1 2024 and was awarded the B2B Business of the Year 2024/2025. The business services clients globally, across 45 markets, and has offices in the UK and US. 51toCarbonZero combines technology with expert advisory. This hybrid model – uniting data automation, compliance confidence, and hands-on guidance – has allowed clients to achieve measurable emissions reductions with up to 40% resource savings, as well as 100% audit pass rates.
By reframing sustainability from a cost centre into a driver of innovation and efficiency, 51-0 is proving that credible climate action can accelerate business growth.
In a sector crowded with promises but short on delivery, 51-0 stands out as the partner that makes net zero practical – and progress measurable.
