Much of hospitality technology is stuck in the past. Hotels are locked into using rigid, all-in-one property management systems (PMS) that they can not update or innovate around. Apaleo is breaking that model by doing one thing differently: making it open.
Founded in 2017, Apaleo is the only API-first, truly open PMS built for modern hotel and serviced apartment groups.
A PMS is the operational brain of a hotel, handling reservations, payments, housekeeping, guest communications, distribution and more. Most PMS bundle these capabilities into an all-in-one software. Convenient at first, until hoteliers realise they can not adapt or change without overhauling the system.

Now used by over 2,200 properties in over 30 countries, Apaleo powers global brands such as citizenM, easyHotel, limehome, and Numa. They use Apaleo to launch properties in days, automate up to 80% of operations, and deliver seamless, digital-first guest experiences.
In 2024, easyHotel migrated 4,000 rooms across 11 countries in just seven months, halving check-in time and reducing manual tasks across the business. Staffless brand Limehome saves £150–£200 per unit per month using Apaleo and no-code tools to automate the full guest journey. Since adopting the platform, they have grown 400% with a lean team. Hotel chain citizenM also thinks its decision to adopt an API-first platform is future-proofing its business and guaranteeing its ability to create exactly the kind of guest experience it wants.
Apaleo is also an AI pioneer. Its API-first foundation is natively built for agentic AI, giving hoteliers an edge to navigate disruption and unlock real AI value. It was the first hospitality platform to launch an AI agent marketplace: Agent Hub. Hotels can now hire AI agents to handle pricing, sales, guest messaging, or onboarding, deployable in hours, not weeks. The new MCP server allows hotels to integrate these agents with their systems and tools without requiring a single line of code.
In the last year, Apaleo doubled its footprint and raised €20M in growth funding led by PSG Equity.
