Georgia is one of the pioneering forces behind the UK BookTok scene, being among the first to spot the unique relationship large parts of TikTok have with literature.
Her work has included pulling together the industry’s first BookTok creator house on behalf of HarperVoyager and the viral campaign for They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera (Simon & Schuster) – which over 5 million people have viewed to date.
BookTok has changed the literary landscape and the way people discover books, using short form content that is easily digestible. Through innovators like Georgia, books are now more about the content than the front cover, which has led to a significant increase in sales and a marked shift from “Bookstagram” habits. BookTok also features at point of sale in bookshops worldwide, with displays showing trending #BookTok titles.
Many of the campaigns Georgia has worked on have been nominated for industry awards and most recently the creation of the first BookTok creator house was shortlisted in both The Bookseller’s ‘FutureBook’ Awards & The International Content Marketing Awards with the CMA.
