Reach Security: AI Agents for Security

Defining AI-Native Exposure Management by bridging the gap between knowing where you’re exposed and taking action to fix it.

Reach Security is a California-based company, founded in 2021 by Garrett Hamilton and Colt Blackmore to help organizations uncover and fix the hidden risks their existing tools miss. Traditional approaches surface issues but stop short of resolving them, leaving teams exposed, overwhelmed, and under-resourced. Reach closes that gap with a platform that identifies misconfigurations, control weaknesses, and other exposures, then drives prioritized, guided remediation at scale.

Before founding Reach, Hamilton served as Director of Product Management at Palo Alto Networks for Wildfire, while Blackmore was Director of Product and Data Science at Proofpoint, and was previously a Technical Lead and Senior Product Manager at Palo Alto Networks for Wildfire. Their years on the frontlines provided a unique perspective: most breaches could have been prevented using tools organizations already owned. However, security teams typically use less than 20% of their existing capabilities, creating inefficiencies and risk. This insight shaped Reach’s mission to help organizations maximize the value of their current investments rather than adding more complexity.

Reach empowers security teams with AI agents to operationalize security infrastructure. Its multi-model approach gives IT and security teams the leverage to find and fix vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and weaknesses that attackers can actually reach. As leaders in AI-Native Exposure Management, Reach makes it easier to reduce risk and improve posture without adding complexity.

With Reach, teams can prioritize based on reachability, attack behaviors, and configuration context, or align control recommendations to their business priorities. This helps organizations focus on the controls that reduce real exposure and maximize the return on existing security investments.

Reach turns insight into action with AI agents that guide remediation and automate workflows. From configuration guides to deep integrations with platforms like ServiceNow and Jira, Reach enables teams to fix issues faster, more consistently, and at scale. Security posture isn’t static, so Reach continuously monitors for drift and validates whether controls are working as intended, providing lasting protection and ongoing assurance.

Earlier this year, Reach announced a $10 million strategic investment from M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund, highlighting M12’s belief in domain-specific AI as a transformative force in cybersecurity and underscoring Reach’s leadership in enabling AI-powered exposure management. As part of the announcement, Reach introduced ConfigIQ Drift™, a virtual assistant that allows security teams to define and enforce configuration drift detection without the need for deep configuration expertise or code skills.

Additionally, Reach’s innovation and partner-first model earned it a place on CRN’s 2025 Stellar Startups list, recognizing vendors driving growth and transformation in the IT channel. Reach sells exclusively through partners, enabling them to help customers reduce exposure and operational cost without replacing existing tools, creating measurable posture improvement and ROI.

The way security teams manage exposure is evolving, and Reach is at the forefront of this shift. Organizations need more than assessments, they need help driving action, and that’s exactly what Reach is building.
