About Lem-uhn

Lem-uhn is the feel-good PR agency that supports purposeful companies to create a happier world while championing a positive work environment.

In May 2021, I launched Lem-uhn to drive industry change, improve the quality of life for PR professionals, and prevent the PR industry from losing talented individuals due to high-stress environments.

While employed at some of the UK’s leading PR agencies, I experienced burnout due to overworking and feeling the pressure to work longer hours than necessary, which is no surprise as 91% of PR professionals struggled with their mental health in 2023 alone.

To set a better industry standard and champion change, Lem-uhn was established to fill the gap for a PR agency that promotes happiness for both employees and clients. Since launching, we have introduced four innovative policies to create a happier workplace including Menstrual Leave, a Work From Anywhere Policy, Wellness Days, and Flexible Fridays.

In September 2022, we introduced a Menstrual Policy which enables employees to take up to ten days off per year for severe menopause or period symptoms or following pregnancy loss. In January 2023, we introduced Wellness Days which permits employees to take two days per year for last-minute days off when they need time off to de-stress.

After garnering great interest from employees, we also introduced a one-of-a-kind Work From Anywhere Policy in August 2023. This policy allows employees to work from countries with a dual taxation agreement with the UK for up to 45 days per year.

In February 2024, Lem-uhn introduced a Flexible Fridays Policy which allows employees to choose their working hours across the week to accommodate a shorter day or a complete day off at the end of the week.

Lem-uhn’s ability to attract and support purposeful clients and drive amazing results is due to the happier work culture we’ve nurtured. So far, we’ve worked with 33 purposeful clients, supporting their growth and leading to societal impact by raising awareness of the issues surrounding their purpose.

One great example is Cool Crutches and Sticks, an innovative walking aid brand co-founded by disability advocate, Amelia Peckham. By placing the co-founders and their customers at the heart, we’ve driven awareness of the brand and issues facing the disabled community. Through topical campaigns and reactive pitching, we’ve reached 1.4 billion people in six months and seen a 48% rise in sales after securing an interview opportunity between Amelia and The Times.

This is a great example of our philosophy in action – happier employees do better work. Thanks to our positive policies, 100% of Lem-uhn employees reported “happy” or higher in our anonymous Biannual Employee Survey. By prioritising people over profits, we have expanded our team by two people and increased our revenue by 60% in the last year alone. With plans to expand the team and onboard more purposeful clients in 2025, we strive to be the go-to PR agency for brands that care.
