How the tech works
We are proud to operate at the intersection of one of the oldest industries and the bleeding edge of AI and computer vision.
Buildots captures construction progress with 360° helmet cameras and drones (imagery collected once or twice a week as part of routine activities). We then align the imagery with the 3D model and schedule of a project. It tells us how much has been installed (down to the individual plug socket or wall), but also how fast work is moving and if it is at risk of falling behind.
It is important to note – Buildots could not have been created 10 years ago. The current maturity of AI has made it possible to finally tackle the real-world complexity of construction sites at scale.
What are our future plans?
With our recent acquisition of workforce and safety management platform Genda, Buildots is taking another step towards realizing a vision no one else has achieved: the full integration of progress and workforce data into a unified platform. We envision a holistic view of construction productivity that helps teams finally answer questions like, “Which delay mitigation efforts actually worked?”
