Company: Too Good to Go
Founder: Jamie Crummie
Business: Fighting food waste by connecting users with unsold food
About Too Good To Go
Too Good to Go was launched in 2016 by Jamie Crummie and a small group of like-minded entrepreneurs.
Launched first in Copenhagen, its business model was quickly rolled out across Europe branching out to France, the UK and Norway.
Too Good to Go pairs up with restaurants, food stores and bakeries who all list their unsold food at the end of the business day.
Users can sign up for a collection slot through the app and collect a “Magic Bag”, a surprise bag of leftovers from the food establishment. This allows flexibility for the business and adds an element of surprise and fun for the user.
All of this fights a great cause: it reduces food waste, combats climate change and encourages users to eat local. Too Good to Go now operates in 15 countries, partners with more than 47,200 restaurants and shops and has saved over 98,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions. They have saved over 3.4 million meals from going to waste and do not show signs of slowing down.
