The Business: A B2B workplace mental health platform, helping employees to improve their mental wellbeing.
Founded in 2016, Unmind is a digital platform empowering those at work to better their mental health. The service is delivered through an app, and offers an array of assessments, tools and training, all backed by science, to help users improve their workplace wellbeing. The UK-based startup claim: “Our vision is to create a world where mental health is universally understood, nurtured, and celebrated.”
Unmind work with some of the top clinicians in the world to help make its services beneficial, combining leading research in neuroscience, mindfulness, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and positive psychology. Since launching, the startup have worked with some big brands, including Just Eat, ASOS, The John Lewis Partnership and British Airways.
Through the digital platform, Unmind helps workers to track, assess and further understand their mental wellbeing. The mobile app offers a wealth of different, clinically-backed tools to help users who are struggling – whether it’s to relax, to focus, to boost their mood or more, Unmind offers quick and handy exercises to help.
Last year, the platform raised £3 million in a funding round led by Felix Capital, said to be put towards improving their product and increasing content.
This year, in light of the current COVID-19 health crisis, Unmind began to offer all NHS staff workers free access to the digital platform, offering support to help them through this incredibly demanding and stressful period.
