About Annette Jezierska
I founded The Future Fox in 2017 because I saw how often public insight fails to shape real decisions. People care deeply about housing, transport, climate policy etc. They have ideas, lived experience and practical knowledge and want to shape the future they will live. But public engagement is too often treated as a hurdle.
Public consultations ask citizens to engage with complex housing, transport and climate policies in their own unpaid time. Some spend five minutes responding. Others spend hours reading dense documents and crafting detailed submissions. Yet once submitted, those responses are often reduced to generic summaries. Nuance is lost, and contributors rarely see how their input shaped the final decision. I believed there was a better, data-driven way to link input to decision and impact.
Building a GovTech company as a female founder meant overcoming structural barriers. Venture funding for female led teams remains disproportionately low. Public sector technology must withstand intense legal and political scrutiny. Decisions under statutory examination cannot rely on opaque systems or inflated claims.
In 2024, I led the launch of ConsultAI, an artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for statutory consultation reporting, one of the most scrutinised workflows in the UK. Rather than a generic AI tool, the system links every insight back to source text, creating clear audit trails and defensible outputs.
In 2025, ConsultAI became the first artificial intelligence system to generate Regulation 19 consultation reports accepted by a UK Planning Inspector. This demonstrated that responsible AI can increase accountability in public decision making.
Since launch, ConsultAI has helped local authorities save more than five years of officer time, reducing analysis workloads by over 96 percent. One council independently used the SaaS to analyse over 22,000 comments in a single sweep. Revenue has grown 2.6 times in a year and the volume of data processed grew 2.5 times, reflecting growing trust in the platform.
My ambition extends beyond planning. I am building the infrastructure that ensures public voices are translated into accountable decisions at scale.
