About Zahra Bhatti

Véa is an AI-powered emotional operating system that builds a living cognitive profile of each user, helping women understand their thoughts, triggers and behavioural patterns through neuroscience-backed journalling. Built from lived experience, Véa does not just record how women feel it connects the dots across weeks, months and years to reveal the hidden architecture of their emotional world.

The idea for Véa came from a deeply personal place. I spent my twenties navigating major career transitions and constant self-optimisation, trying every wellness tool available, but none gave me real space to process emotions or notice the invisible cognitive load I was carrying. Growth became heavier than it needed to be. With 31 million women globally suffering from conditions like PMDD, anxiety and depression and less than 3% of neuroscience research funding devoted to understanding women’s mental health – I knew the gap was not just personal but systemic.

I founded Véa in 2025 after six years as a product leader building and scaling products from zero. What makes Véa different is the unique emotional profile it creates for every woman who uses it. Through AI semantic analysis and neuroscience frameworks, the platform identifies recurring thought cycles, cognitive distortions and emotional shifts over time. It does not offer a snapshot, it builds a longitudinal view of a persons inner world, showing how patterns evolve across journal entries on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis. This means a user can see that the same fear of inadequacy surfaces every time she faces a deadline, or that a particular relationship dynamic consistently triggers overwhelm. By making these invisible loops visible, Véa gives women the power to interrupt unhelpful thought cycles rather than stay trapped in them.

Since beta launch in September 2025, building in a space where 97% of funding bypasses womens mental health has meant constantly proving that emotional load is not niche. Despite this, early traction has validated the approach. Beta users journalled over 101,000 words across more than 10 countries. The platform identified over 3,000 cognitive distortions and patterns. Users returned four times per week without prompts or gamification, and 90% reported increased wellbeing within 30 days.

The impact I am making goes beyond building a product. I am changing the narrative around how women relate to their emotions – shifting them from something to manage into something to mine. Véa treats emotions as data, using AI not to replace human feeling but to help women read their own signals with clarity and precision. For too long, the industry has told women to calm down. I am building the infrastructure that tells them to look closer. Véa is pioneering a new category, emotional infrastructure, at the intersection of femtech, AI and neuroscience, proving there is both deep demand and commercial viability in a market no one else is serving.

Where other apps help women meditate, Véa helps women regulate. When women can finally see their patterns, they can change them.
