I am the Managing Director and Country Manager of emagine Ireland, a high-end IT & business consultancy. A challenge in the Irish Technology sector at the moment is a shortage of highly experienced IT and Project professionals, in part due to the unemployment rate being one of the lowest on record. High demand for skilled IT professionals, coupled with a limited resource pool, means some companies are finding it hard to attract and retain talent with the right skillset at competitive rates. This makes it difficult for them to keep up with evolving technology, and we know that keeping pace is essential. Over a 16 year period, through listening and constructive dialogue, while having a genuine desire to understand our clients situation, we have not only built up an excellent team and network of over 200 highly experienced consultants, we have also developed a methodology and process to ensure we provide our clients with the right expertise and solutions to fit their goals and preferences.
This year, there is scope for emagine to be a major challenger to the high-end consulting market in Ireland, the UK and across Europe. There are significant scalable opportunities for us as we build on our integrated suite of IT services, including helping clients adapt to the universal rise of automation. We have the expertise to help clients in the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector deal with the demand to increase efficiency of processes, and cope with the shortage of skilled professionals in the workforce. We are looking to take on more strategic projects for our clients to drive their development and in doing so build on our own successes of recent years, such that emagine Group enjoyed growth of 92% in 2022.
In addition, I would like to help our clients understand how to be more resilient and adaptive with digital transformation and application modernisation solutions, such as re-platforming. We are enhancing our offering in both areas to support clients in Ireland and Europe which will open up further opportunities in the future.
On a personal level, I am a mother of a 13 year old farming mad boy, Finn. Unfortunately for Finn, he was not born into a farming family but he has successfully managed to convince my husband and I to allow him purchase 3 pregnant ewes, each pregnant with triplets . The last set of triples arrives this morning so his herd has grown from 3 to 12 in 2 months, showing great business acumen. The late nights and early mornings have been a challenge for us all so we will be investing in some form of technology to make next years lambing season easier for everyone 🙂
