How did you come up with the idea for the company?

 

As an experienced insurance entrepreneur, this isn’t my first venture aimed at improving the customer experience. Traditionally, insurance has been a product people purchase out of necessity and only engage with when making a claim—the critical “moment of truth.” With advancements in technology and access to richer data, I saw an opportunity to make insurance more personalised and proactive.

Inspired by how companies like Revolut transformed banking, I envisioned Gigasure as a solution to revolutionise the insurance sector. Our mission is to offer products that adapt to customers’ evolving needs, rather than forcing customers to fit into rigid coverage options. We aim to become the trusted travel companion customers rely on.

 

 

What is your advice to aspiring entrepreneurs?

 

First and foremost, be bold. If you see an opportunity to improve an industry or spot a market gap, take the leap. It’s natural to feel a sense of risk, but innovation comes from challenging the status quo. Surround yourself with a skilled and passionate team that shares your vision. Success is a collective effort, and building the right team is essential to achieving great things.

Secondly, stay close to your product, especially as you take it to market. In the early stages, it’s vital to understand how your product is being received by customers, identify pain points, and iterate quickly. You need to stay involved with the product development process to ensure it aligns with both customer feedback and your long-term vision. Many businesses fail because leaders distance themselves from the product too soon, missing crucial opportunities to adapt and improve.

 

What most excites you about Gigasure?

 

After nearly three decades in the insurance industry, I’m still excited by the potential to innovate. The rise of technologies like AI and biometrics is unlocking new possibilities for delivering better, customer-centric solutions. With Gigasure, I feel we are pioneering a new era in insurance – combining essential cover with valuable extras, accessible wherever you are.

Our policies are fully customisable, allowing customers to adjust their cover in real time based on changing travel plans. The Gigasure app puts this control in the hands of our users, making insurance both accessible and adaptable. It’s an exciting journey, and I’m thrilled to be setting new standards in the industry.

 

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?

 

Gigasure launched just last August, but the early response has been overwhelmingly positive. Today’s consumers demand products that offer choice, flexibility, and value, along with features that surprise and delight. In under a year, we’ve introduced three core insurance products, with more offerings in the pipeline.

Our long-term vision is to become a comprehensive hub for all insurance needs, while maintaining a strong focus on personalisation and customisation.

 

What can we hope to see from Gigasure in the future?

 

We’re just getting started. Over the next year, we plan to introduce several new products and enhance our current offerings with additional benefits. We are also investing heavily in technology to provide customers with greater support and guidance.

Expect to see us leverage AI to improve risk assessment, implement biometric ID verification, and further streamline the user experience.
