What Is Elyos AI?

Founded in 2023 as part of Y Combinator, Elyos AI is a startup that helps trade and field services businesses work smarter by using artificial intelligence agents.

The company builds AI agents that are designed to act like an in-house team, helping the business run seamlessly whilst workers are out on the job. As tradespeople and field services agents spend a lot of time working on site, keeping up with inbound calls, messages and admin can be difficult…until now.

Through Elyos AI, these businesses can integrate AI agents that answer calls, book jobs, follow up quotes and send appointment reminders to staff. It’s designed to easily integrate with existing systems, so businesses can scale without bottlenecking on admin.

To date, Elyos has raised $16 million in funding, including a $13 million (£9.7m) Series A investment led by Blackbird Ventures.

What Makes Elyos AI Unique?

What makes Elyos AI unique is it focus on the trades and field services industry.

Unlike other generic AI assistants that are on the market, Elyos agents are trained specifically to understand and service the needs of these specific businesses. Their AI agents are able to answer calls, grow the business, send appointment reminders, manage scheduling and even help with paperwork, all without human intervention.

Another key element is that their agents are designed to be easily implemented with tools they already use, meaning they don’t need to worry about changing processes or migrating software. This makes Elyos AI not just helpful, but easy to use from day 1.

Is There A Market For AI In Field Services?

There is, and the need is growing. The trades and field services industry is huge, but is also one that hasn’t necessarily seen the benefits of the AI revolution.

From plumbers to electricians and engineers, businesses in this sector can be hugely bogged down with phone calls and paperwork, taking up valuable time that could be spent on the job.

In the UK alone, the field service market is estimated to be worth around $232 million, projected to grow to $1 billion by 2034. As businesses and homes need humans to be on site fixing, installing and delivering important elements, AI can take on a lot of the admin in the background.

Elyos AI exists because current options just aren’t bespoke enough for this industry. Instead of relying on generic agents, Elyos builds AI agents that are designed with trades and field service needs in mind, so they can see the benefit from day one.

And it’s working. Over 96% of customer interactions with Elyos AI agents lead to high customer satisfaction, more than 80% of leads are converted to jobs, and companies report a 30% reduction in costs after managing their admin overheads with AI. It’s this personalisation that means Elyos isn’t just designed to help the industry, it’s designed for it.
