About Zuto
Founded in 2006, Zuto has become the UK’s leading car finance fintech, with one in 16 used car purchases financed through its platform. The company continues to invest in technology, with a focus on AI and automation to streamline decision making, enhance its customer service capability and support customers throughout the car buying journey.
The original goal remains: to bring fairness and transparency to the car finance industry.
Growth
The company has grown at circa 30% for the last 2 financial years and current financial performance shows 40% growth. The latest financial year saw Bridgepoint become a majority shareholder in the business. The investment will accelerate the development of Zuto’s platform and support further product expansion. Zuto is on track to hit revenue of £100m by June 2026.
Partnerships
Zuto’s data-led approach provides unrivalled insight into buyer behaviour and preferences. This has enabled the business to expand its partner ecosystem, broaden the breadth and quality of its products, improve conversion rates and ensure it is providing a finance option to everyone buying a used vehicle.
Through lender partnerships, Zuto now has more than 300 finance products available on its proprietary platform. Utilising data to provide personalised offerings, Zuto returns real-time rates and pre-approvals at scale, helping customers of all credit profiles find a car they can afford.
Zuto’s partners also include marketplaces and price comparison platforms. It has a long-standing partnership with Auto Trader, the UK’s largest automotive marketplace.
In 2026, it announced a partnership to provide car finance and buying services to ClearScore’s 16 million UK users. ClearScore chose Zuto to power its car finance digital journey, building on a partnership which goes back several years. Zuto’s technology platform and expertise in car finance is enabling the rapid onboarding and integration of multiple lenders to Clearscore and giving them the infrastructure they need to scale with confidence.
Tech expertise with human touch
A focus on bringing transparency and fairness to the car finance sector means providing customers with choice, clear information and fast decisions. These priorities are achieved through Zuto’s combined human and digital approach.
Zuto’s highly trained car buying experts ensure that customers experience a smooth journey when making what can be a complex and significant decision.
To support this, Zuto has developed a new AI research agent system to perform continuous company-wide analysis of customers’ end-to-end journey. The business handles tens of thousands of customer interactions every day across multiple channels and touchpoints. That’s a rich stream of insight into what customers need, where challenges and pain points happen, and what’s happening on the front line.
Going beyond structured information, for example a lender decision or website click, the AI agent monitors unstructured data such as calls, WhatsApp and SMS interactions that other systems miss.
Now, anyone in the business can set a query to explore customer interactions – questions that previously took hours of sampling and listening can now be answered in seconds or minutes.
A certified B Corp, the company has been ranked in the top 25 Best Large Companies to Work For. It has an ‘excellent’ rating on Trustpilot with over 54,000 5* star reviews, and features in FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2026.
