Just two months after opening, The Good Practice in Radlett is already helping patients access quicker and more convenient healthcare.
The practice is led by GP Dr Josh Newman, formerly of Parkbury House Surgery in St Albans, and co-founder September White, who manages the on-site pharmacy.
The Good Practice has been designed to make healthcare simpler by allowing patients to see a GP and collect their medication during the same visit. Having both services under one roof helps reduce delays and, in some cases, means patients can receive treatment and medication two to three days sooner than they might elsewhere.
Dr Josh Newman said: “When people are unwell, they don’t want to wait days for an appointment or travel between different places to collect a prescription, especially at weekends. We wanted to create a practice that puts patients first by offering appointments seven days a week alongside an on-site pharmacy, making healthcare quicker and more convenient.”
Since opening, the practice has received a positive response, with patients signing up for its annual membership, which costs £170 and includes discounts on appointments and treatments.
Although based in Radlett, the practice is attracting patients from further afield. Members have joined from nearby areas including Stanmore and Shenley, while some have travelled from Kent to register.
The growing demand suggests many people are willing to travel for healthcare that is easy to access and fits around busy lifestyles.
Modern Facilities Focused On Health And Wellbeing
The Good Practice has been designed with a modern, welcoming interior to create a more comfortable experience for patients and families. The practice aims to provide an environment that feels less like a traditional doctor’s surgery while supporting health and wellbeing.
Alongside GP services and its pharmacy, the practice offers a range of wellness treatments.
One of its most popular services is whole-body cryotherapy, where people spend a few minutes in temperatures as low as -110°C. Many patients use cryotherapy to support muscle recovery, reduce inflammation and improve their overall wellbeing.

The practice also offers red light therapy, which is used to help manage ongoing pain, joint problems and other long-term conditions. Some patients also choose it to support recovery after exercise or injury.
By bringing together GP appointments, a pharmacy and wellness treatments in one location, The Good Practice aims to make healthcare easier and more convenient for local people.
The team believes good healthcare is about more than treating illness. It is also about helping people stay well and giving them quick access to the care they need without unnecessary delays.
Although the practice has only been open for two months, membership continues to grow. Patients from across Hertfordshire and beyond are choosing The Good Practice because of its fast appointments, seven-day opening and the convenience of collecting medication immediately after seeing a GP.
As the practice continues to expand, its goal remains the same: to reduce waiting times, improve access to healthcare and help patients receive the treatment they need as quickly as possible.
