About Hospitable

Hospitable is a short-term rental property management software that helps hosts and property managers run their businesses on autopilot, from AI guest messaging and dynamic pricing to direct booking sites, lodging tax automation, and cleaner coordination. Incorporated in Delaware with a registered address in San Francisco, run by a fully remote team, Hospitable serves a customer base concentrated in the United States, where about 85% of the platform’s properties are located.

Founded in 2016 by Pierre-Camille Hamana to help him rent out a spare bedroom, Hospitable has grown into one of the most successful independent players in hospitality technology. Today, the platform supports over 23,500 hosts and property managers across 140 countries and processed $5.2 billion in reservation income for its customers in 2025.

What sets Hospitable apart from its US competitors is how it has been built and funded. Most of the sector is backed by venture capital and private equity, yet Hospitable has grown without a traditional outside round. It opened its cap table to the people who use the product every day, and more than 180 customers and employees have invested a combined $2.2 million. That gives hosts and operators a direct stake in the company they depend on, and it keeps the roadmap tied to operator needs rather than investor priorities.

Independence has not slowed the company down. Hospitable has become a leading choice for operators scaling from a single listing to professional portfolios, competing directly with far larger, well-funded rivals. It holds a 4.9-star rating on G2 and is both an Airbnb Preferred Plus and a Booking.com Premier Plus partner.

One of the clearest examples of its impact on the US market came this year, when Hospitable became the first PMS to automate lodging tax compliance across all 50 US states. Lodging tax rules vary by state, county, and municipality, creating a patchwork of registrations, deadlines, and reporting requirements that grows increasingly difficult to manage as property managers expand across markets and channels. By automating registration, calculation, filing, and remittance, Hospitable removed one of the biggest administrative barriers facing US hosts, now remitting more than $1 million in lodging taxes on their behalf every month.

Hospitable has also pushed the wider sector forward on AI. In 2025, its AI automated more than 108 million guest messages and completed 44 million actions, and it became the first short-term rental PMS to launch an official Model Context Protocol server, opening the platform to AI agents such as ChatGPT and Claude.

Running through it all is accessibility. Through a free entry tier that removes fixed software costs, education for new hosts, and tools that once sat out of reach for smaller operators, Hospitable has spent nearly a decade making professional-grade technology available to US hosts of every size.
