RatedByUs began in 2025 with a simple observation: hotels often know far more than their systems remember.
A housekeeper may notice one concern, reception may experience another and a manager may later deal with a more serious incident. The knowledge exists across the team, but it is often fragmented across shifts, departments and properties. RatedByUs is building a behavioural intelligence platform that turns those disconnected observations into secure organisational memory.
The company has developed a mobile and web based SaaS platform that enables authorised hotel staff to record verified behavioural incidents, identify developing patterns and give colleagues appropriate awareness before a situation escalates. The aim is to protect staff, reduce preventable loss and help hospitality businesses make better informed decisions.
One of the greatest challenges has been designing a system that supports staff safety without creating a public blacklist or unfairly defining an individual through a single incident. RatedByUs has addressed this through data minimisation, tokenised mobile numbers, role based permissions, manager oversight, detailed audit trails, dispute processes and time based score recovery. The platform does not create public profiles and does not rely on fully automated decision making.
Another challenge has been turning a new and sensitive concept into a practical product that hotel teams can use during busy daily operations. The first MVP has now been built, with staff reporting, manager review, risk scoring, incident timelines, property controls and cross hotel intelligence forming the foundation of the platform.
RatedByUs is introducing a new idea to the hospitality SaaS ecosystem: Hospitality Organisational Memory. Existing hotel systems are effective at remembering bookings, payments, preferences and operational tasks. They are less effective at preserving staff knowledge about behaviour, risk and recurring incidents.
The company is now preparing for hotel pilots, where the focus will be on validating adoption, improving workflows and measuring the effect on staff confidence, incident visibility and loss prevention.
RatedByUs is building the behaviour layer that hospitality technology has historically overlooked, so people are not walking into work unprepared.
