About Kantiv

Founded in 2022 by Rohan Jawali, a former Hensel Phelps field engineer, Kantiv is the pursuit intelligence platform built specifically for architecture, engineering and construction firms. Initially launched as Joist AI, the company rebranded to Kantiv in June 2026 to reflect its evolution from a proposal generation tool into a firm-wide intelligence engine.

The challenge Kantiv addresses is severe: in the two trillion dollar built environment sector, every new project is won through a complex proposal pursuit. Historically, critical institutional knowledge including past project write-ups, personnel certifications and client history remained scattered across isolated drives and personal memories. Marketing teams spent up to eighty percent of their time manually hunting for information under punishing deadlines. Generic artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT fail in this environment because they hallucinate rigid federal formatting requirements and expose proprietary intellectual property.

Kantiv overcame these industry barriers by building a vertical knowledge layer first. The platform automatically cleans, structures and connects scattered proposal data into a firm knowledge graph without requiring months of manual tagging. This enables lean teams to assemble accurate first drafts grounded in verified historical wins.

Today, Kantiv serves more than 150 architecture and engineering firms, including 1 in 5 of the ENR Top 50 design firms. The platform has expanded rapidly, growing from 800 thousand dollars to 6 million dollars in annual recurring revenue. Verified customer results include a 30 to 40 percent reduction in proposal first draft time for major engineering leaders like Woodard and Curran, giving staff back 8 to 10 hours per week for strategic growth.

Kantiv is transforming the software ecosystem by establishing pursuit intelligence as a distinct vertical category. By capturing institutional memory before an estimated 26 percent of industry professionals retire by 2031, Kantiv proves that purpose-built vertical artificial intelligence delivers measurable business impact where horizontal models fall short.
