About Natalie Trice Publicity

I started Natalie Trice Publicity in 2006 after a career that started nearly a decade earlier in tech (HP and Epson), charity and then in TV with CNN, Cartoon Network, Discovery Networks Europe and Animal Planet. Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked through recessions, the pandemic, major changes in the media landscape, the rise of social media and digital publishing and, more recently, AI. Through all of that, I have remained focused on what I believe good PR is really about: understanding people, finding the real stories and building relationships. However, my biggest challenge shaped my greatest contribution.

When my son was diagnosed with developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), there was no support or community in the world, so I used my PR skills for global change. I created DDH UK and began raising awareness, building relationships, sharing stories and connecting families. What started from my own experience developed into a community connecting parents, professionals and families internationally, with a book written, awards one but mostly, people not having to feel how I had.

For me, this demonstrated the real power of PR because this wasn’t about securing coverage but offering a life line to those deadling with an overlooked issue and helping families find information and reassurance at a time when they needed it most. That experience has influenced the direction of my work ever since. Today, Natalie Trice Publicity specialises in health, wellness and expert led Pr and comms.

I work with psychologists, health organisations, founders, charities and specialists, helping them translate complex expertise, research and lived experience into stories that journalists and audiences can understand and trust. I also believe in contributing to the PR profession itself. I am a Chartered PR Practitioner, an ICF accredited coach, CIPR trainer, visiting lecturer, author and mentor. I have taught and supported practitioners at different stages of their careers, from students entering the industry to experienced professionals navigating change, confidence and career development.

I was recognised by Women in PR as one of its 45 Women over 45 in PR and have continued to advocate for the value of experience, particularly for women who can sometimes become less visible as their careers progress. My impact on PR is not only about the campaigns I have delivered.

It is also about how I have used communications to build communities, amplify expertise, support other practitioners and make important stories visible. After 20 years in business and around 30 years in PR, I am still learning, adapting and evolving. I also know that experience matters. I have spent my career proving that PR can create coverage, build businesses, change conversations and, sometimes, create a community where previously there was none.
