EcoHedge is a UK-based, climate-tech start-up, helping SMEs to get to grips with their carbon accounting and reach net-zero, faster. Our software intelligently captures, calculates and categorises emissions data to give a comprehensive view of a company’s carbon footprint.
What do you think makes the company unique?
The last thing the world needs is another carbon accounting start-up, right?
Well yes, if we are talking about another lengthy, form-based, software solution or a blended approach of carbon accounting and consulting. But no, if we are talking about an automated solution for accurate accounting, analysis and action.
Pressure on SMEs is mounting with disclosures moving from voluntary to regulatory, and busy business leaders are left holding the baby.
Automation should mean automatic, and this is where EcoHedge comes in.
We empower SMEs to become climate leaders with truly automated, enterprise-grade, secure and scalable software.

How has the company evolved in the last couple of years?
Over the last two years, EcoHedge has moved from concept to reality. We’ve been busy building out our technology and refining our value proposition. Most importantly we’ve grown our team from 3 to 12 climate-curious and driven individuals.
This has set us up for our biggest year to date, completing our MVP, closing our first funding round, and generating our first revenues. We can’t wait for what the future holds.
What can we hope to see from EcoHedge in the future?
The intersection between the energy crisis, climate crisis and current political landscape has made us acutely aware of the pressures businesses are facing.
Sustainability is just one piece of a bigger picture, but can have company-wide implications; for example in talent retention and attraction. We advocate for progress over perfection and will help businesses with incremental change. Setting targets, meeting them and then raising the bar to build momentum over time.
The future for EcoHedge is about providing data-driven insights to support businesses in making difficult decisions and enabling more meaningful conversations with suppliers. For example, when it comes to divesting from or engaging with carbon-intensive activities.
