About Christian Facey and AudioMob
Audiomob is building the number-one audio discovery platform, driven by the goal of helping advertisers better reach their consumers and assisting game developers in effectively monetizing their games. This is achieved by allowing users to programmatically insert audio ads into mobile games.
Audiomob started the audio ad revolution, founded in 2020 by Google and Facebook alumni Christian Facey and Wilfrid Obeng. They grew tired of seeing intrusive, interstitial-style ads inside mobile games and established Audiomob with a core principle: there is a better way to advertise in games.
As gaming audiences have expanded, audio has helped artists reach more people. In today’s world, gaming is the fastest-growing area of entertainment, and audio is also having a resurgence amongst consumers globally. There are an estimated 3 billion mobile gamers worldwide and $166 billion spent on mobile gaming in 2021. 93% of brands are likely to use digital audio in their marketing strategy, and 96% of brands linked to audio are more likely to be remembered and searched for.
Audiomob received support from the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund, fostering growth, strengthening key leadership, and meeting critical benchmarks. This backing enabled the setup of Engineering teams and Moonshot lab in Abu Dhabi, doubling the team in 2022, and increasing presence within gaming and audio ecosystems.
Audiomob has won numerous awards, including Startup of the Year 2022 at The Great British Entrepreneur Award and the UK Under 30 Awards by Hurun UK. The company believes in putting the consumer first, building products that are simple and intuitive. They promote an owner’s mindset, working independently and adapting to changing scenarios. Teamwork, inclusion, and flexibility are key, embracing autonomy and flexible working hours.
