About Bola Sol and Refined Currency
Bola Sol is a Nigerian-British financial wellness coach that found her passion in discussing money matters with women. She became frustrated when she would have conversations about finance exclusively with men and she wanted to change this. In 2015, she founded Refined Currency, a financial blog for women. Bola also founded Rich Girl Chronicles, a digital membership program that focuses on discussing money and well-being.
She noticed the lack of knowledge surrounding personal finances and built the page so women could empower themselves without the need to potentially become financially dependent on their partners. She has been featured in Forbes as a black British leader to follow and she has acknowledged the importance of having role models that can inspire the next generation.
In 2021, she wrote the book How To Save It, the book is full of useful tips and is a great resource offering practical advice on a range of topics including how to build a budget and manage your debt. She has also been a guest on a range of podcasts including Twice As Hard with hosts Raphael and Opeyemi Sofoluke.
