About My Menopause Centre

My Menopause Centre (MMC) is a purpose-led, online menopause specialist clinic whose founders are on a mission to empower women to take control of their menopause and thrive.

The Centre offers more free evidence-based information and advice than any other menopause website and a ground-breaking online menopause questionnaire, the first of its kind in the world, to provide visitors with a personalised assessment.

The Centre also provides a wide range of free events and webinars for people to access the latest information from a range of experts. MMC offers private one-to-one appointments and treatment via its menopause specialist doctors and is the only menopause specialist clinic to be awarded an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC. It is difficult to diagnose menopause. There is no single test that can tell whether symptoms are related to the menopause transition or not.

MMC’s free menopause questionnaire and personalised assessment uses a proprietary world-leading algorithm and was developed by the specialist menopause clinicians. The algorithm uses the globally recognised Greene Climacteric Scale, a verified symptoms measurement tool used by practitioners worldwide, as well as data on changes to bleeding, age & other relevant gynaecological information. So far, more than 33,000 women have completed the questionnaire.

There is no other questionnaire that attempts to take the complexity of a medical consultation to diagnose the menopause transition. As well as assessing where people are in their menopause transition – perimenopause, menopause or postmenopause – the questionnaire may highlight symptoms not easily recognised as being related to the menopause transition.

The personalised assessment can be printed out or discussed on the phone with a GP, so there’s no worry about forgetting any symptoms. It’s hoped that over time, the questionnaire could provide more scientific insight when it comes to the experience of the menopause & help inform future policy and training. It could also help break down the current barriers in the UK preventing minority ethnic groups to get better menopause support. While 15 million people in the UK are experiencing some stage of the menopause, it is still a taboo subject for too many in society and the workplace.

The consequences can impact all aspects of a woman’s life – work, home, relationships and sex life – and we see it reflected in the gender pay gap & pension pay gap.

Launched in April 2021, MMC is building a strong team of expert menopause doctors to support people with holistic, evidence-based information and advice as well as options tailored to each individual. As well as providing advice, services & treatment for individuals from their carefully selected stable of specialist menopause doctors, MMC works with leading businesses across the UK to provide education workshops and clinical support for staff.
