Tell us about your company
We started 33Seconds back in 2011, when the London and wider European tech scene was exploding. My cofounders and I had previously worked in-house at MySpace, helping build what was then the biggest social network of its time.
Having led the comms and marketing teams in the UK, when we left, we saw the opportunity to use our experience to help other transformative tech companies scale, while also helping brands to use social media, which was still a relatively new marketing channel at the time.
We provide brand strategy, PR, social media marketing and influencer marketing to our client base of startups, scaleups and progressive brands, which fall within climate, technology, lifestyle and entertainment sectors. We believe in the power of business to create a better future for people and the planet, and we see our role as integral in helping our clients achieve that.
What advice do you have for companies entering the Sustainability60 2025?
Companies should focus on demonstrating tangible impact, innovation, and scalability. I would like to see entries that clearly articulate their environmental benefits with measurable data – even if it’s very early stages in trialling the technology – what is the expected impact, whether it’s carbon reduction, resource efficiency, or positive societal change.
Include any proof points to show there’s already commercial viability, whether through existing customers or partners. I also want to understand what has driven the founders to develop this particular solution and why they believe its success is so critical to solving climate change.

How do you suggest entrants should stand out from the crowd?
To stand out, showcase what makes your approach unique and why it matters. Highlight any technological breakthroughs, novel applications, or previously secured grants or awards that set you apart.
If you had any challenges which you overcame, sharing how you managed this to help inspire and motivate other founders will also demonstrate a level of transparency that will help you stand out. Finally, package all this up in an engaging narrative, which grips the reader!
