The startup became one of the earliest Moroccan companies backed by Y Combinator and raised multi-million-dollar funding from global investors. WaystoCap focused heavily on solving inefficiencies in fragmented African trade networks, offering a trusted digital infrastructure for procurement and sourcing. In 2021, the company was acquired by MaxAB, an Egyptian B2B marketplace, as part of regional consolidation in the African commerce-tech space.
