Today Mr Lee’s launches a £1.75M funding round on investment platform Seedrs, with already £1.5M investment secured

Mr Lee’s Pure Foods, the healthy instant noodles in a cup brand, has today announced the launch of its bespoke donation service. This allows generous people to donate Mr Lee’s products (minimum 1 pallet) to NHS workers, their staff, volunteers and those in need. Purchased at wholesale price, these donations will then be sent directly to hospitals, charities and other local support networks with Mr Lee topping-up the donation with an additional 25% more cups.

This latest donation package has been inspired by the support shown by Shane Thakrar, CEO at leading UK petrol station enterprise HSK Retail, who purchased an initial 8,000 noodle cups for donation at Leicester NHS Hospitals Trust. The new initiative allows other incredible people and organisations to help make a difference during this crisis, offering a much-needed healthy hot meal.

Supporting the NHS holds a close personal connection for Mr Lee’s Founder & CEO, Damien Lee. After beating cancer for the first time in 2014, Damien followed his strong belief in ‘you are what you eat’ and launched a guilt-free version of his favourite snack – instant noodles. Now fighting the disease for the fourth time, Damien is passionate about showing his gratitude to the NHS, donating an initial 10,000 noodle cups to ten hospitals including five where he’s previously received treatment: Poole Hospital, Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Royal Marsden Hospital Chelsea, The Royal Marsden Hospital Sutton and Southampton Hospital.  This was followed by a second donation of cups split between Leicester Hospital, Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, Manchester Nightingale Hospital, London Ambulance Service and London homeless charities.

In addition, Mr Lee’s are offering free UK wide delivery for all online customers with 20% discount on all products.

Using only the finest freeze-dried ingredients, the six diverse flavours of noodles are uniquely crafted from authentic Asian recipes. Certified gluten free and low in sugar, Mr Lee’s are free from artificial preservatives and one of the lowest in calories, saturated fats and salt amongst its competitors, with vegetarian and vegan flavours available. Securing over 50 industry awards and accolades for food quality, taste and innovation across the world, Mr Lee’s provides the same amazing tasting noodles with none of the nasties.

Mr Lee’s has today launched a £1.75M funding round on investment platform Seedrs, with £1.5M of this funding already secured. This follows a hugely successful £3M funding round on Seedrs in 2019. Later this month, Mr Lee’s will also be launching in the US, its fourth international launch in 2 years. The instant noodles will be available on Mr Lee’s website, with Amazon US and in-store following in the coming weeks.

Damien Lee, Founder and CEO of Mr Lee’s Pure Foods says: “During this extremely difficult time, we have been working non-stop to deliver noodles to our customers and brilliant NHS workers. Now expanding our offering to a third continent, we are passionate about providing nutritious, high quality, locally made food with our investors showing the huge amount of support and belief our community has in us and the power of eating well.”
