Infrastructure technology solutions provider, CAE Technology Services, is celebrating its’ 30th anniversary on the 7th February 2022. To mark this milestone the company is kicking off a year’s worth of events and initiatives to look back at some of the momentous moments for the business, industry and technology as well as looking to the future, and aspirations for the next 30 years.
The last 30 years has seen the organisation grow to more than 350 people, representing sales of over £130m across seven offices in the UK and businesses in Europe, North America and Asia. The company’s growth and success has been directly linked to the adapting needs of customers, and a passion for continuously understanding, simplifying, and solving real business challenges with better use of technology.
Whether in public or private sectors, the constant has been change and the ability to develop the best solutions to bridge the digital and physical worlds. What customers continue to need and what CAE delivers is a true, humanised and personalised experience to help modernise and transform critical infrastructure and applications.
CAE’s Chief Executive, Justin Harling, has been reflecting on the past 30 years, “It is humbling to take a moment and comprehend just how much the world of IT has changed in in the last three decades. Major brands have come and gone, and we are now living in the internet age where technology is ubiquitous and both the source of, and solution to, so many of the challenges that humankind face.
We have been through numerous iterations of business models where the IT channel has been challenged to deliver value and has often been the subject of commentary where the next big thing would mark the death of technology reselling. These predictions have always been wide of the mark because transformation requires an intimate understating of how organisations function and the impact technology has on people. This is the unique requirement that CAE delivers on, and will continue to do so for decades to come.”

With this in mind, CAE will be engaging with customers, partners, and industry figures old and new, to reflect on what the future will look like, the lessons we have all learned, and the difference that has been made since CAE was formed.
In typical CAE fashion there will also be time for recognition of all the amazing partnerships that have supported the company, and celebration; history has definitely taught us that CAE love to get together, enjoy each other’s company and throw a fantastic party.
Commenting on the celebration plans Justin says, “As I look back on our 30-year journey, I am proud that we have stayed focused on the customer experience and our culture. It is our people and our partnerships that have allowed the company to come so far in advancing our vision, becoming stronger together and being able to look forward with a massive amount of optimism. We are committed to being a force for good by using technology to help our customers overcome real business challenges, shifting IT from managing infrastructure to driving innovation.”
“Many things have changed in the last 30 years, but CAE has always worked to put the best people in the most supportive environment so that they can help customers progress and in turn progress themselves, and that is certainly worth celebrating,” concludes Harling.
