He said in a blog post, “We’re also using AI internally to improve our coding processes, which is boosting productivity and efficiency. Today, more than a quarter of all new code at Google is generated by AI, then reviewed and accepted by engineers. This helps our engineers do more and move faster. I am energised by our progress, and the opportunities ahead. And we continue to be laser focused on building great products.”
One of the tools driving this process is “Goose,” a system trained on 25 years of Google’s coding experience. It helps developers create products faster by handling repetitive tasks.
Although some employees are worried about job security, the company insists AI is not replacing workers. Instead, AI tools are made to support developers, so that their workloads are lighter and more manageable while helping projects move forward faster.
What AI Products Is Google Developing?
