Round2 announces 8-digit investment in Myra Security

German cybersecurity company Myra Security and Round2 Capital are expanding their existing partnership with an 8 digit investment by Round2 and its partners.

For the technology leader founded in 2012, this is the next logical step. „So far we have grown entirely on our own – the new funds will mean we can offer even more services and performance to our customers,“ says Myra CEO Sascha Schumann.

Among the Security-as-a-Service provider´s customers are heavyweights like the German Government with over 500 domains, Ministries like the Federal Ministry of Health, the European Central Bank (ECB), Sparkasse Finanzportal and other financial institutions as well as global e-commerce players. With innovative security technologies and a corporate culture geared towards sustainable growth, Myra has developed into a hidden champion „Made in Germany“. The company has the most extensive range of stringent certifications in the industry. As such, it has become the benchmark for the protection of critical infrastructures and heavily regulated sectors such as government and financial services.

Working with Round2 allows us to expand our services and locations so that we can continue to offer our growing customer base the excellent service we stand for,” says Sascha Schumann. Myra Co-Founder Paul Kaffsack adds: “We are a quality provider through and through and have built an excellent reputation with this approach. We will use the investment capital to further strengthen awareness for our brand – do good and talk about it.”

Dr. Christian Czernich, CEO of Round2 Capital, is enthusiastic about the performance of Myra and the team behind it. “We see similar potential to that shown by companies like Celonis here. With Myra, Sascha Schumann and Paul Kaffsack have everything they need to achieve their ambitious goals – an excellent reputation, high-performance technology and an enormously passionate team. Cybersecurity from Germany at this level has what it takes to become a global game changer.

Stefan Nagel, partner at Round2 Capital, adds: “The protection of data traffic and networks is becoming ever more crucial as digitalization accelerates and value-at-risk increases. The two founders have established Myra as a reliable partner in this market and their sustainable and value-oriented approach will continue to pay off well into the future.
