Westcon-Comstor, the global technology distributor, today announced the expansion of its distribution agreement with Libraesva, one of Europe’s most innovative email security vendors. This expansion sees the technology distributor now offering Libraesva’s email security services suite in the UK, following the success of the original agreement in Italy. With the strategic relationship further strengthening the Westcon Next Generation Solutions (NGS) offering in the zero-trust access space.
As the cybersecurity threat landscape continues to expand, primarily due to hybrid working, and attacks become more sophisticated, the simple entry routes for attackers are still just as vulnerable as the complex ones. Human error is still one of the most reliable vulnerabilities that attackers take advantage of, with phishing emails and falsified payment requests routinely winding up in employees’ inboxes.
With this agreement in place, Westcon-Comstor further strengthens its offering to channel partners with Libraesva’s low-touch, easy to quote, sell and administer product suite fully aligned with Westcon-Comstor’s cloud-first NGS strategy.
Stephen Reynolds, UK and International Sales Director, Libraesva, commented on the announcement stating, “The Libraesva and Westcon-Comstor partnership really is a win-win for both parties. Westcon-Comstor have such heritage and market maturity in the UK sector that the respect that they held in and the quality of their partners and clients is second to none. Now Libraesva will be able to bring our award-winning suite of email security tools to that client base providing robust protection against all threats and attacks, including malware, ransomware, malicious URLs and attachments, phishing and Business Email Compromise (BEC).

“By partnering with Westcon-Comstor, Libresva will be able to expand into new and emerging markets and sectors at the same time learning invaluable lessons from the established relationship with our Italian HQ. A perfect combination,” concluded Reynolds.
Speaking on the announcement, Antony Byford, Managing Director UKI at Westcon-Comstor said, “Libraesva have a strong track record of providing email security solutions to businesses with strict compliance demands. Some may have their needs satisfied with basic next-generation firewalls (NGFW) or the inbuilt security features of Office 365, but where businesses need to ensure the best possible inbox security, Libraesva shines.
“We’ve seen good success with Libraesva in Italy, the response from our channel partners who deal in NGFW solutions and IT support has been particularly encouraging. As we expand this relationship to the UK we see greater potential for our channel partners to cross-sell Libraesva’s solutions to their customer base where they already provide firewall solutions and IT support.”
Steve Thompson, co-founder of IT service provider XTECH IT, a Libraesva partner, also comments, “The Libraesva and Westcon partnership just demonstrates how disruptive Libraesva’s email security technology is and it’s no surprise they have attracted the attention of a mature, well established, security distributor. We are very excited about the benefits the partnership with Westcon offers to channel partners to assist our go to market and build on the success we’ve shared to date, that is rapidly gaining momentum.”
Westcon NGS encompasses four solutions pillars: zero trust access, IoT/OT security, next generation SOC and secure cloud/DevOps. Focusing on solutions rather than specific vendor technologies, the company helps partners identify the solutions best suited to them, their customers, and their long-term strategies, from its comprehensive portfolio.
