Feedback From The Judges
“With so many entries, this was a difficult list to judge, and reading about everyone’s work gave me plenty of food for thought. AI is making it easier to produce content, but harder to say something different, so I enjoyed seeing where agencies brought their own ideas and personality.
“The resilience stood out too, especially those who built businesses after previous ventures failed, or started during Covid. But what stayed with me most was the pro bono work, mentoring and efforts to make PR more inclusive. It might sound corny, but using our skills to do some good matters, particularly given the times we’re living in.
“There was plenty of creativity too, including from Don’t Be A Little Pitch’s name to Babel’s “We Back Your Brave” amongst many others. Seeing how differently agencies work across industries, while still making time to support others, was comforting and gave me a lot to take away from this.”
Megan Dennison, Associate Director, Firefly Communications
“The entries that stood out did the work for the judge – what the business needed, what the agency did and what changed as a result. The best planned activity around a number rather than a retainer: they set targets up front and reported results against them.
“The standouts connected coverage to something bigger than clippings – pipeline, fundraising, sponsorship revenue and, increasingly, visibility in AI search. Campaigns carried clients from funding rounds through to acquisition, survey data became a year-round news engine, and agencies started measuring how earned media moves AI citations.
“Where entries fell short, it was usually because activity was presented as outcomes. Reach figures and partnerships tell part of the story, and SEO or GEO claims land best with evidence behind them. Many entries described what an agency does rather than what it achieved while the strongest kept their claims grounded and let the outcomes do the talking.”
Danny Sullivan, Founder and CEO of Nomada Digital
“TechRound’s first PR54 did not disappoint, showcasing the range of talent shaping modern communications. Clarity stood out for combining measurable campaign results with strategic breadth, innovation in AI visibility and a thoughtful approach to its people. Hendrix Rose PR, Bound to Prosper, Fungi PR and Lem-uhn also impressed me with specific examples connecting creative work to client outcomes. Across the field, the strongest entries combined clear thinking, specialist knowledge and human storytelling.”
