Founder Of The Year 2026: Vote For Your Favourite Founder!

Behind every great startup is someone who had the courage to get started. Someone who spotted an opportunity, challenged the status quo or decided there had to be a better way of doing things. And while we often celebrate the businesses that come out of those decisions, it’s just as important to recognise the people who make them happen.

For the first time ever, TechRound is launching Founder of the Year 2026, giving our community the chance to vote for the founder they believe deserves to take home the title.

Bringing together founders we’ve recognised and featured through TechRound over the course of 2026, this campaign is an opportunity to celebrate the people behind some of the most interesting businesses in the startup ecosystem. From those turning ambitious ideas into thriving companies to those tackling difficult problems and carving out their own paths, we’re putting the spotlight firmly on the individuals driving innovation forward.

Now, we’re handing that recognition over to you.

What Should You Consider When Voting?

Every entrepreneurial journey looks different, and the qualities that make one founder stand out might be different from those that define another. As you look through the nominees, consider:

Vision and ambition: Has the founder identified an opportunity, challenged conventional thinking or set out to solve a problem in a new way?
Leadership: Have they built a team, inspired others and helped turn an idea into a functioning business?
Resilience: Have they demonstrated the determination to navigate challenges, learn from setbacks and keep moving forward?
Impact: Is their work making a meaningful difference for customers, their industry or the wider community?
Your personal favourite: Perhaps you’ve followed their journey, admired their approach or simply believe they deserve more recognition. There’s room for all sorts of reasons to cast your vote!
