Notable Mentions

We were very impressed with startups that focused on using resources more efficiently such as Too Good To Go and those using medicine and health more effectively, such as VineHealth, Equipsme and Lifted.

We saw growth in Femtech from start-ups such as Callaly, Jecca Blac and WooWoo, a wave of new start-ups attempting to replace high cost lending such as Hastee, Wagestream and Fund Ourselves – and also some innovative things for the home and pets such as Crown and Paw and Calming Blankets.

AI as a B2B product continues to be fast-growing, with lots of innovation and interest in this sector.

Consumers also seem to be embracing new exercises and fitness regimes with new players such as ROWBOTS, Psycle, Rize and the emergence of influencer Ciara.

TechRound co-Founder David Soffer commented:

“The UK has, in the last few years really come into its own as the place to be for start-ups of all types and nature from around the world.”

“The UK’s start-up scene continues to grow, improve, flourish and give rise to truly remarkable and incredible start-ups and tech businesses, which we are delighted to celebrate through the TechRound100. No matter what life throws at the UK, be it changes in how we do business, changes to our way of life and instability throughout the world, the UK start-up scene has fast become one of the pillars of growth and prosperity for the UK and the wider economy. Some of these companies are doing some amazing things and we should all join in celebrating that.”

TechRound co-Founder Daniel Tannenbaum commented:

“We saw a huge growth in entries from Fintech, AI-driven companies and those focusing on sustainability and the environment. Products that are getting the most momentum are able to save time and money for their customers – and if there is an AI process to drive this, even better. Across food and fashion, people are starting to think environment-first and how not only their product can be enjoyed, but sustainable too.”
