About Jenny, Tobias and Apryl

Apryl was founded in 2019 by best friends Jenny Saft and Tobias Kaufhold after Jenny’s own experience freezing her eggs. The process ended up costing Jenny thousands, and she did not receive adequate support from her clinic. This inspired her to start thinking about better ways to give people support and guidance on their fertility journeys.

This gave Jenny the idea to form Apryl. Apryl is a fertility benefits platform helping companies across Europe offer staff access to inclusive fertility and family forming services. They help modern employers to offer fertility benefits and expertise to their employees.

Companies using Apryl are able to offer their employees support with fertility testing, egg freezing, adoption, IV, and more. They act as a broker between fertility clinics and employees. This is a great benefit that employers can offer when seeking new talent, especially because health and wellbeing has been at the forefront of many employees’ mind since the pandemic.

Fertility benefits also support staff wellbeing and boost diversity. This ensures that everyone is given a fair chance to remain in the workplace, even when dealing with fertility issues. It makes it easier for employees to balance family planning and fertility treatments with their day-to-day work.

Apryl operates across Europe and their clients include SoundCloud, wefox and Béa Fertility. They have raised a €4.1 million seed round in 2022.

The core team of Apryl is based in Berlin, but the company is now now looking to cement their presence in the UK. In the next year, Apryl aims to grow the team and scale the business across Europe.
