Peloton-class

Peloton was founded in 2012, inspired by founder and CEO John Foley’s desire to make fitness more accessible to those with demanding schedules, as both he and his wife struggled to attend studio classes alongside their own busy lives. Inspired by this, Foley then decided to bring the studio to them, creating a platform where studio-quality fitness classes could be accessed from home.

Whilst COVID-19 has, as with most businesses, had an impact on Peloton – forcing them to close their showrooms and put a pause on the production of their live classes, the startup is one of a small group of companies to actually increase their forecasts. Peloton has reported a surge in interest, many customers looking to exercise at home whilst gyms closed and lockdown measures were implemented.
