About Alice Regester and 33Seconds
Alice Regester has worked in communications for the past 20+ years, having started her career at the BBC before discovering the thrill of the technology sector when she worked with Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom on their pioneering internet TV startup, Joost.
Following this, she led communications for Myspace in the UK, the biggest social network of the time. It was here that she met her 33Seconds’ cofounders, Dominic Cook and Seb Underhill, who led the marketing and content functions.
Recognising how their experience could help other tech firms scale, the trio went on to launch 33Seconds in 2011. This was also at the time when the tech scene was exploding in the UK and across Europe – a great time to be immersed in the ecosystem and from which to grow an agency.
Since then Alice has focused on building a team that is equally passionate about using PR & communication to fuel business growth and is proud to have supported more than 80 startups and scale-ups over the past decade, through every crucial moment: product rollouts, funding rounds, global expansion, strategic pivots, crisis management and corporate acquisitions.
As the climate crisis has become more and more prevalent, Alice and her cofounders have increased focus on building this specific expertise in the team. They now work with climate technologies ranging from enhanced weathering and biotech to cultivated meat. This purpose-driven comms is not only incredibly rewarding but also helps in attracting great talent into the agency.
Looking forward into 2024 and the future, Alice is excited to be building out a new strategic arm of 33Seconds, providing her clients with insight-led recommendations on value proposition & brand positioning, long-term comms & content planning and cultural and industry trend reports.
